“I live and work in Brooklyn but play soccer in Chinatown. These desks I use for drawing, cutting paper, drinking, and basically pretending to be an artist. I really like it here. I’m inclined to want to dive into a project and start researching and drawing arabesques right away.”

“It’s strange to think of drawing as a solidifying element in one’s life, especially of flimsy pencil drawings, but it felt great to take a nebulous, seemingly mercurial idea in my head and “cement” it onto an object to exist in the world. That sort of need was essential to me during my formative years.”
“On desks, tables, sawhorses, ladders, scaffolding, cherrypickers – whatever it takes and wherever it takes me. I have a sizable studio, but my largest pieces keep growing in scale, which requires me to fabricate them elsewhere. And the installation is invariably in yet another place. I find myself wearing a hard hat more than I had ever anticipated.”
